About Us

Beyond the NICU Doors was created by a group of NICU graduate parents.  We each had to live and learn the hard way about bringing home and raising a baby after the NICU.  Unless you have gone through the NICU experience, it is often very difficult for others to relate.  Regardless of when or why a child was in the NICU, it is our intent to provide a network of support to families beyond the NICU doors.

Donna is the mom to three preemies.  Devin was born at 1 lb 14.9 oz, 13" long at 25 weeks.  Carsen and Blake were born at 1 lb 12 oz, 12" long at 26 weeks.  Today, they are 10 and 6 years old.  Three healthy boys that keep her young!  It was a rough road with a happy ending.  She is looking forward to sharing her experiences and friendship with new graduate families.
